This social housing project managed by State of Jersey required a waterproofing system with a tough anti-slip finish to the walkway and staircase areas. The existing asphalt membrane was failing to prevent water ingress and, with its smooth surface, was presenting a potential slip hazard to residents.
The main contractor overseeing the project contacted Building Renovations Limited, a local Polyroof approved contractor, to carry out the refurbishment works. The BBA-approved Protec system was chosen for the works and was applied directly to the asphalt substrate over the walkways and staircases.
The system was completed with the Quartz Sand and Polyfinish anti-slip finish, which provided an extremely durable and hardwearing surface for the regularly trafficked areas.
