We are delighted to announce that Polyroof has once again been shortlisted for the annual LRWA Awards, alongside two of our independent approved contractors. As a member of the Roberts Group family of brands, we have long been an active member of the Liquid Waterproofing & Roofing Association (LRWA), supporting its development alongside the continued growth of the liquid-applied waterproofing sector.
These latest nominations are testament to the advanced capabilities of modern liquid roofing technology, and we are proud to see the exceptional workmanship of our contractors recognised once again. The LRWA Awards 2026 & Gala Dinner will take place at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool, on Wednesday 25th March and is widely regarded as the landmark event for the liquid waterproofing and roofing industry.
This year’s ceremony promises to be a momentous occasion, featuring a shortlist of outstanding projects delivered by leading manufacturers and contractors across a range of liquid roofing categories.
Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year (<1000m²)
Oatley House – MLG UK Ltd
Situated in the heart of Cote Lane Retirement Village, the refurbishment of the historic Oatley House showcases the high level of craftsmanship delivered by MLG UK, alongside the benefits of specifying our Protec Evolve System for heritage-sensitive, occupied buildings.
The system’s cold-applied, ultra-low-odour formulation enabled installation without hot works, safeguarding residents while delivering a seamless, fully bonded waterproofing solution. The project presented significant challenges, including detailing around Grade II listed parapets and undulating stonework, which required the installation of bespoke timber upstands.
By retaining the existing roof build-up and introducing a recovery layer, the project minimised waste, disruption, and noise, resulting in a durable, long-lasting roof that respects the building’s historic character and provides peace of mind for both occupants and specifiers.

Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year (<1000m²)
Flat Holm Island – Haran Roofing Ltd
The refurbishment of Flat Holm Island’s Foghorn Station highlights Haran Roofing’s ability to deliver technically robust, heritage-sensitive solutions in some of the most challenging conditions imaginable.
Located six miles off the Welsh coast in the Bristol Channel, the Grade II listed foghorn station’s exposed position presented considerable logistical and environmental challenges, including high winds, salt spray, driving rain, and severely restricted access for personnel and materials.
Through meticulous project management and the suitability of our cold-applied Polyroof Protec System, Haran Roofing successfully waterproofed a range of complex architectural features — including the iconic foghorn drum, trumpet plinth, and parapets — preserving the historic fabric of the structure while ensuring long-term protection for many years to come.

Trainer of the Year
Sam Jones
In addition to the two project nominations, we are also extremely proud to share that our Technical Manager, Sam Jones, has been shortlisted for the LRWA Trainer of the Year Award.
Sam has over 30 years’ experience in the liquid roofing and waterproofing sector, with more than two decades dedicated to training, mentoring, and technical leadership. His continued contributions to industry standards and professional development have positioned him as one of the most experienced and influential trainers in our sector.
Sam’s impact on the liquid roofing industry is extensive and long-lasting. He has trained a significant proportion of the professionals currently working within the sector, many of whom continue to seek his advice today. Our training centres, which Sam continually enhances, provide an engaging learning environment that excites new contractors and elevates their skills from day one.
