On Wednesday 3rd May, Tracey Deans, HR Manager at Polyroof, and Marc Gunther, Production Operative, attended the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. They were nominated to attend by Hannah Blythyn MS – Deputy Minister for Social Partnership – after their participation in the Christmas Cheer Boxes scheme to support local families during challenging times.
The Christmas Cheer Boxes scheme is an initiative that Polyroof has been involved in for the last few years, providing food hampers to local families who may be struggling during the festive period. The initiative has been hugely successful, with many families benefiting from the support provided by Polyroof.
The Royal Garden Party is an annual event held at Buckingham Palace, hosted by members of the royal family, and attended by a wide range of guests from across the country. The invitation to attend the Royal Garden Party was a great honour for Tracey and Marc, who were thrilled to have the opportunity to represent Polyroof at such a prestigious event. For Tracey and Marc, attending the Royal Garden Party was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and they both felt incredibly privileged to have been chosen to attend. The day was filled with excitement and anticipation, as they made their way to Buckingham Palace in their finest attire.
Upon arrival, Tracey and Marc were greeted by the sight of the immaculately tended gardens, with the sun shining down on the colourful flowers and manicured lawns. They also had the opportunity to sample some of the delicious food and drink on offer, including traditional British tea and cakes.
