Product Certifications

British Board of Agrément (BBA)

The BBA is the UK’s major authority offering approval of construction products, systems and installers. The BBA is underlined by its UKAS accreditations. Polyroof’s Protec, Evolve, Elastex and Polyroof 185 Systems all carry BBA approval. The BBA Agrément Certificate is a mark of excellence based on rigorous national and European standards that validate a construction product’s specialist formulation, capability and uniqueness. Key factors assessed within a BBA certificate include fire performance, durability, weathertightness, resistance to mechanical damage, adhesion and root penetration.

EPD Accreditation

EPD transparently demonstrate the environmental impact of a product across its lifecycle. They are based on a comprehensive, third party verified, life cycle assessment (LCA) in line with EN 15804, ISO 14025, and other related standards. Product specific EPD are the most accurate, useful, EPD available and Polyroof are one of the first companies in the sector to be able to provide them.

ETA Certification
(CE Marked)

An ETA provides a technical assessment of a product’s fitness for use based on its contribution to fulfilling the Essential Requirements stated in the CPR. CE Marking is designed to make trade across the EU easier as it is a manufacturer’s confirmation that a product meets all EU legislation and is fit for purpose. Polyroof’s Protec systems have achieved ETA certification. Key factors assessed within an ETA include factors such as external fire performance, working life, mechanical damage, temperature parameters, wind loads.

Factory Mutual
(FM)

FM Approvals, backed by scientific research and testing, tells customers the product conforms to the highest standards. Approval depends on meeting rigorous loss prevention standards. The Protec System is available with FM Certification for projects requiring an FM system or assembly.

UKTA

A UKTA is a United Kingdom Technical Assessment which is the means for non-harmonised products to achieve UKCA Marking. The UKTA is the UK equivalent of ETA’s (European Technical Assessments).

Polyroof’s Protec systems have achieved UKTA certification. Key factors assessed within an UKTA include factors such as external fire performance, working life, mechanical damage, temperature parameters, wind loads.

LRWA Member

LRWA, The Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association consists of the leading manufacturers of liquid applied coatings approved contractors and related materials suppliers. LRWA members are devoted to best industry practice. With the aim of supplying and applying systems to a client’s full satisfaction, advice can be obtained either centrally or from individual member firms. Polyroof Products Ltd is a member of LRWA.

NFRC Member

Polyroof are supplier members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. The NFRC is the largest and most influential roofing trade association in the UK, promoting quality contractors and quality products, ensuring that its members are at the forefront of all roofing developments. NFRC actively ensures that all members offer high standards of workmanship and sound business practice through a strict code of practice and vetting procedure, including site inspections and adhering to the Government endorsed standards. RIBA CPD Approvals

The Royal Institute of British Architects champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and our members. RIBA’s CPD approval scheme ensures that certified seminars, such as Polyroof’s Seminars on liquid roofing systems, are assessed for quality and their ability to inform and this enables attendees to receive CPD points (double points if attendees are RIBA approved).
