The BBA is the UK’s major authority offering approval of construction products, systems and installers. The BBA is underlined by its UKAS accreditations. Polyroof’s Protec, Evolve, Elastex and Polyroof 185 Systems all carry BBA approval. The BBA Agrément Certificate is a mark of excellence based on rigorous national and European standards that validate a construction product’s specialist formulation, capability and uniqueness. Key factors assessed within a BBA certificate include fire performance, durability, weathertightness, resistance to mechanical damage, adhesion and root penetration.
EPD transparently demonstrate the environmental impact of a product across its lifecycle. They are based on a comprehensive, third party verified, life cycle assessment (LCA) in line with EN 15804, ISO 14025, and other related standards. Product specific EPD are the most accurate, useful, EPD available and Polyroof are one of the first companies in the sector to be able to provide them.
An ETA provides a technical assessment of a product’s fitness for use based on its contribution to fulfilling the Essential Requirements stated in the CPR. CE Marking is designed to make trade across the EU easier as it is a manufacturer’s confirmation that a product meets all EU legislation and is fit for purpose. Polyroof’s Protec systems have achieved ETA certification. Key factors assessed within an ETA include factors such as external fire performance, working life, mechanical damage, temperature parameters, wind loads.
FM Approvals, backed by scientific research and testing, tells customers the product conforms to the highest standards. Approval depends on meeting rigorous loss prevention standards. The Protec System is available with FM Certification for projects requiring an FM system or assembly.
A UKTA is a United Kingdom Technical Assessment which is the means for non-harmonised products to achieve UKCA Marking. The UKTA is the UK equivalent of ETA’s (European Technical Assessments).
